To the Stars

The inaugural music centre concert ‘To The Stars’ was a virtual concert filmed in the Great Hall, with tickets to view the concert online selling across New Zealand and the world in July 2021. The concert featured a star-studded lineup of New Zealand musical artists, and highlighted the glorious interior and sparkling acoustics.

Performances by Simon O’Neill ONZM, opera singer; NZTrio (piano, violin, cello); Flavio Villani (grand piano), Rita May (acoustic guitar singer/songwriter); Horomona Horo (taonga puoro); Zosia Herlihy O’Brien (organ); the Graduate Choir, piper DJ Harvey and family.
