Auckland Heritage Festival Tour - The journey of a treasured and living memorial

On Sunday 24th September 2023 we celebrated the Auckland Heritage Festival, with a tour of our treasured St David’s Memorial Church learning about its past, present and future.

St David’s Memorial Church is one of New Zealand’s most significant heritage buildings. The Friends of St David’s Trust Kāhui Rangi Pūpū invited public for a sneak preview of what's going on behind the scenes of its major restoration project.

Our visitors enjoyed entering the Great Hall with its superb acoustics, gently raked floor, soaring leadlight windows and learning about the trust’s vision to create a thriving hub of music-making, inspiration and social connection.
